This wallpaper is from an old Colonial home in Scarsdale, New York. A careful study shows that this is one of the purest early French type and takes us back to that time when Marie Antoinette refused to accept the bold and garish styles set by Madam de Pompadour. Instead, she became  influential in creating the refined and delicate style of Louis XVI.
