There's a moment in every dollhouse when the furniture is placed, the wallpaper is up and the rugs are down, but the walls still feel a little bare. The right painting changes everything. It tells you who lives in the room, what they love and where their heart wanders when they sit by the fire.
That's why we're delighted to introduce our first collection of hand-painted miniature oil paintings by artist Larry Morganti.
Meet the artist
Larry paints almost every day and enjoys moving between subjects: landscapes, flowers, and impressionist scenes in the spirit of Monet, Renoir and the other great painters of that era. Each piece brings the feel of a full-size painting down to dollhouse scale.
A Vietnam veteran who served in 1967 and 1968, Larry lives with his wife and is proud of their two children, who now have families of their own.
How each painting is made
Larry paints every piece in oils on paper mat board, working at true 1:12 scale. Oil paint is slow and patient, so each painting needs one to two weeks to dry fully before it can be finished. Once it's dry, Larry seals it with a matte enamel finish. This protects the paint and gives the surface a soft, gallery-ready look.
Look closely at any of these paintings and you'll see real brushwork: the texture of rose petals, ripples across a stormy sky, the sheen on a horse's coat. These aren't prints. They're tiny works of art, made by hand, one at a time.

Because every painting is made by hand, each piece in this collection is unique, and only one of each is available. Once a painting finds its home, it's gone. If one catches your eye, we'd suggest not waiting too long. Each is available at $49.99
The first collection
Larry's opening collection covers a lovely range of moods and rooms, so there's something for almost every dollhouse:
- For the coast: Seaside Afternoon and our beach umbrella scene capture lazy summer days on the sand. Mother & Daughter by the Sea adds a quiet, tender moment by the water.
- For the country home: Blue Barn & White Fence brings a peaceful farmhouse landscape. Huntsman on a Bay Horse is a classic English sporting scene made for a study or library.
- For the kitchen and dining room: Still Life with Strawberries has ripe fruit, a cobalt jug and a rumpled white cloth.
- For the parlor and bedroom: Pink Roses in a Teal Vase, Girl with a Pink Ribbon and Girl Reaching for a Rose bring soft, romantic Victorian charm.
- For a touch of the Mediterranean: Sunlit Village Steps glows with golden walls, stone stairs and spilling flowers.
Framing and display
Each painting arrives unframed, so you're free to choose a miniature frame that suits your room. A gilded frame suits a grand Victorian parlor, and a simple wooden one suits a cottage kitchen. Some collectors prefer to mount them unframed for a modern, gallery feel.
